Users can also transfer payment responsibility to the patient or other insurance while working on the Payment Posting window.
To transfer payment responsibility:
1. | Select “Transfer” as the Transaction Type under Payment Details using the drop-down menu. |
2. | Select the responsibility you want to transfer payment to using the Transfer drop-down. |
3. | Select the line items on which to post the Transfer Transaction by clicking in the check boxes. |
4. | Click “Apply/Validate” to validate the Payment Amount. |
5. | Click “Save” to save transfer details. |
Note: The “Responsibility” column indicates CURRENT responsibility for that line item.
