InSync users can search for patient statements using the Search Patient section located at the top of the Patient Statement screen.
To search for patient statements:
1. | In the Statement Type section: |
• | To view the list of statements of individual patients, select Individual. |
• | To view the list of statements of patients that are linked with family, select Family. |
2. | In the Statement Cycle Days section, enter the number of days to filter the statements that are not transmitted within these days. it should be less than or equal to 120 days. |
| Note: It considers last processed date of the statement to filter statements. In case, the last processed date is not available, the responsible date is considered. |
3. | Select the Aging method as Date of service or Responsible Date from the drop-down list. |
4. | Select the aging period from the different aging periods i.e. current (0-30), 31-60, and so forth. This will help you to generate patient statement for the specific period. |
5. | Enter or select the transaction date range for the patient statement using the Calendar icon. |
6. | Enter or select the DOS date range for the patient statement using the Calendar icon. |
7. | Enter or select the Responsible date range for the patient statement using the Calendar icon. |
8. | Select the Facility and Provider using the drop down list for which you want to search the statements. |
9. | Enter one or more claim numbers. |
10. | Select Transaction Mode. |
11. | Start typing the patient name and select using the drop-down list. Use the icon in case you don't find the patient in the list. When working with Family type statements, system displays only those patients which are part of any family. |
12. | Enter the Transaction occurrences in Printed/Transmitted Statements. |
13. | Select the Patient Categories. |
14. | Enter the Balance amount. |
15. | Select the Hold/Unhold Statements type. |
16. | To list the patient statements which are selected to exclude from patient statements, select the List only Excluded Patients check box. |
17. | To list the patient statements which are excluded from collection referral, select the List only Excluded Collection Referral Patients check box. |
18. | Select the Billing Entities. |
19. | Click Search. The list of Patient Statements as per the search criteria is displayed below. |
