Users can also opt to use the Quick Post feature on the Payment Posting screen. This will distribute the received amount on the line items below, starting from the first line item. If the Received Amount is greater than the Billed amount of the first line item, the overage will be applied to remaining line items, beginning with the line item immediately below.
To perform a Quick Post:
1. | Select “Insurance payment” from the Transaction Type drop-down menu in the Payment Details. |
2. | Enter the Received Amount. |
3. | Enter Payment Type/Details. |
4. | Select the “Quick Post” check box. |
5. | Click the “Apply/Validate” button. |
Note: To perform a Quick Post, the responsibility MUST be the same (i.e., the amount being distributed is from a single payer).
