Users can elect to print paper claims from the Claims Processing queue.
To print a claim from the Claims Processing queue:
1. | Select the “Paper” radial button next to Claim Submission Type. This will filter out all of the claims that require Paper submission. |
2. | Click in the “Plain” radial button to preview the claim information in a HCFA form. Click the “Pre-Printing” radial button to view a plain-text version, used when printing on Red Original HCFA forms. |
3. | Click in the check box next to the claim you want to print. |
| Note: Click in the check box at the top of the column to select all claims listed. |
4. | Click the “Print Batch Claims” button. The information will display in a new window either in plain-text or in a HCFA form, depending on which radial button you have selected on the previous screen. |
5. | To change the printer settings, select appropriate option using the Printers drop-down list. |
6. | Click the icon to print the claim and send by mail. |
Notes:
o | When you click the Printer icon, make sure you select the “Actual size” option on the Print screen. |
o | The HCFA form will print in black and white instead of red, if you have a black and white printer. |
o | The latest NUCC amendments for Sr. No. 14, 17, 21, and 30 are covered in the HCFA form. |
o | The users can configure the HCFA format (4 Dx code or 12 Dx code) as desired. To configure the HCFA format, Click the “Administration” tab on the left side of the screen, and select “ECT”. |
Claims associated with a Payer ID # will be defaulted to send electronically. Users can select Transmission Type (paper or electronic) when creating the claim in the Create Claims screen.
