The system allows you to delete an encounter if you have started it by mistake.

To delete an encounter:

1.On the Facesheet screen, expand the Encounter Details panel.
2.Click the Delete Encounter icon Delete-encounter next to the encounter you want to delete. The Delete Encounter /  Visit screen is displayed.
3.Enter the comments and EPIN to delete the encounter details completely from the system..

Notes:

Only authorized users having EPIN number can delete the encounter. If you do not remember the EPIN, you can reset it from Administration > Resource > Resources Management tab.
Entering EPIN is not mandatory, if you don not want to keep EPIN mandatory you can do so from Administration > Setup > Practice, and unselect "Keep EPIN mandatory for Signature.
Select the Also delete appointment from Scheduler check box to delete appointment details along with encounter. This check box is enabled only when the provider has access rights for deleting the appointment.
